    Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi, “Kocaeli Uluslararası Kongre Merkezi Projesi” ile Arkitera Mimarlık Merkezi tarafından ödüle layık görüldü

    KOCAELİ (İGFA) – Hayata geçirdiği projelerle ulusal ve uluslararası birçok alanda takdir gören Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi kente bir ödül daha getirdi. Bu kapsamda Büyükşehir, Kocaeli Uluslararası Kongre Merkezi projesi ile “İşveren Ödülleri Kategorisi’nde” Seçici Kurul Teşvik Ödülü’ne layık görüldü.

    Arkitera Mimarlık Merkezi tarafından verilen Arkitera Ödülleri, İstanbul’da düzenlenen törenle sahiplerini buldu. Kastamonu Entegre Genel Müdürlük Binası’nda yapılan törende Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi, Kocaeli Uluslararası Kongre Merkezi projesi ile “İşveren Ödülleri Kategorisi’nde” Seçici Kurul Teşvik Ödülü’nün sahibi oldu. Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi adına ödülü Etüt ve Projeler Dairesi Başkanı Serkan Ihlamur ile proje müellifleri Özer/Ürger Mimarlık’tan Ahmet Mucip Ürger ve Ali Özer plaketlerini seçici kurul üyelerinden Mert Uslu’dan aldı.

     BÜYÜKŞEHİR’E BİR ÖDÜL DAHA

    Bu yıl 15’incisi düzenlenen Arkitera Mimarlık Merkezi Ödülleri, mimar ve işverenin kamusal sorumluluklarını göz önünde bulundurarak, nitelikli mimari uygulamaların ortaya çıkarılmasına destek olan işverenleri onurlandırıyor. Bu kapsamda Büyükşehir Belediyesi, Kocaeli Uluslararası Kongre Merkezi projesi ile “İşveren Ödülleri Kategorisi’nde” Seçici Kurul Teşvik Ödülü’nün sahibi oldu.

    KOCAELİ’NİN SEMBOL YAPISI

    Proje kapsamında, Kocaeli’nin önemli endüstriyel miraslarından biri olan eski fabrika yapıları yeniden işlevlendirilerek kongre merkezine dönüştürüldü. Hizmete girdiği günden itibaren sayısız etkinliğe ev sahipliği yapan merkez; tasarımı, işlevselliği ve kent yaşamına kattığı değerler ile Kocaeli kentinin en önemli sembol yapılarından biri haline geldi.
